This morning Captain Michael Lindberg from Sweden, Chief Engineer Damir Blazicevic from Croatia, and Hotel Director Alexander Ferby from Austria of Vision of the Seas held a Captain’s Corner Q&A session.

They answered many questions about Vision of the Seas, Royal Caribbean, their cruise experience and other general inquiries. Some of the questions were rather silly, but others brought out some interesting information.

One man asked if they ever run out of anything during a cruise and what would be the most vital item to run out of. It was stated that they never run out of anything because the ship is heavily stocked with all items. A woman in the audience yelled that alcohol would be the worst thing to run out of. I told people around me that I thought toilet paper would be the worst thing to be without.

One thing the captain discussed that I had never thought about was that if a ship sails into a strong ocean current heading in the direction the ship is sailing, it will allow the ship to go faster while using less power and the opposite applies if a ship sails against an ocean current.
